There’s an old rule in fashion about not wearing white after Labor Day. I don’t know about you, but I really love white – and there’s no way I’m parting with it for half of the year. Wearing white in the winter is a fresh way to brighten your wardrobe and remind yourself that spring is just around the corner. The key to wearing winter white is to choose shades like ivory or cream, and pair your pieces with other soft colors and neutrals. Today I’m sharing some inspiration for how to mix this bright and happy hue into your wardrobe long after summer ends.
Kensie Coat | Christian Louboutin Pumps | Bailey 44 Tulle Midi Skirt | Stella McCartney Scarf | Jennifer Behr Comb | American Eagle Outfitters Sweater | Rachel Roy Shift Dress | Latigo Junebug Oxfords | Textile Jeans | Rag & Bone T-Shirt | Jimmy Choo Bag | Brora Wrist Warmers
I included some classic pieces like a chunky cable-knit sweater, pocket t-shirt, jeans, and a fit and flare coat – as well as some fun items like a tulle midi skirt from Anthropologie and these Brora wrist warmers. I selected some accessories in soft pink colors, but you could pair these items with other soft colors and neutrals like black, navy, and gray. I also love winter white with jewel tones, especially in shades of red for the holidays.
I hope my post inspires you to see why rules are made to be broken! Will you be wearing shades of white this winter? Why or why not?
